What size should my source icon be?
We recommend uploading a 1024 x 1024 pixel PNG image. This is the largest size required by both Apple and Google, and all smaller sizes will be generated from it with high-quality downsampling.
What image formats can I upload?
You can upload PNG, JPG, or WebP images. For best results, use a PNG with no transparency (Apple requires opaque icons). The tool will handle the rest.
Does it generate the Contents.json for iOS?
Yes. The iOS section of the ZIP includes a complete AppIcon.appiconset directory with a properly formatted Contents.json file that Xcode recognizes immediately.
Does the icon need to be square?
Yes. App icons for both iOS and Android must be square. If your image is not square, it will be center-cropped to a square before resizing.
Can I use this for existing apps?
Absolutely. Upload your current app icon and download the complete set of sizes. This is useful when updating your icon or submitting to a new platform.
Are the generated icons stored on your servers?
No. All generated files are automatically deleted after 4 minutes. We do not keep copies of your uploads or outputs.
