1. Introduction

Swiftspeed ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website at swiftspeed.app and all related services.

By creating an account, using the Platform, or otherwise interacting with our services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.

This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up on behalf of an organization, we may also collect the organization name.

Billing information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment providers (Stripe and Paystack). We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. We may store a truncated card number, card type, and billing address for reference.

App content: When you build apps on the Platform, we store the content you create, including text, images, audio files, configuration settings, and other media you upload. This content is necessary to deliver your app to end users.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including:

  • Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the editor.
  • Device type, browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
  • IP address and approximate geographic location.
  • Session duration, timestamps, and referring URLs.

Support communications: When you contact our support team through the ticket system or email, we store the content of those communications, including any attachments, to resolve your issue and improve our services.

Cookies and tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. See Section 7 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating the Platform: To create and maintain your account, build and host your apps, process builds, and deliver content to your app's end users.
  • Billing and payments: To process subscription payments, send invoices, and manage your billing history.
  • Customer support: To respond to your support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and follow up on previous inquiries.
  • Service improvements: To analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, improve features, and develop new functionality.
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the Platform.
  • Communications: To send you service-related emails, including billing notifications, security alerts, subscription updates, and important policy changes.
  • Analytics: To understand how the Platform is used and measure the effectiveness of our features and marketing efforts.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to operating and improving the Platform.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls, and regular security reviews.

Retention periods:

  • Active accounts: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active and you continue to use the Platform.
  • Free trial apps: Apps created on the free plan are provided as a 7-day trial. After 7 days, apps and all associated data (content, users, analytics, configurations) are automatically deleted unless the account is upgraded to a paid plan.
  • Paid accounts: Data is retained while your subscription is active. After your subscription expires and is not renewed, data may be deleted after 6 months.
  • Accounts without apps: Accounts that have no apps may be deleted after 14 days. This includes accounts where apps were removed due to trial expiry.
  • Support tickets: Support communications are retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction for quality and reference purposes.
  • Billing records: Payment and transaction records are retained as required by applicable financial and tax regulations.

When data is deleted, it is permanently removed from our active systems. Backups containing deleted data may persist for a limited period before being overwritten through normal backup rotation.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Payment processors: We share billing information with Stripe and Paystack to process your subscription payments. These providers have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

Analytics providers: We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage data about how visitors interact with our website. This data helps us understand traffic patterns and improve the user experience.

Infrastructure providers: Our servers and services are hosted on third-party infrastructure. These providers may process your data as part of delivering their hosting services, subject to their own privacy and security policies.

App distribution platforms: If you publish your app to Google Play or the Apple App Store, information necessary for the publishing process (such as app metadata and build artifacts) is transmitted to those platforms.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a valid legal process (such as a subpoena, court order, or government request), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Swiftspeed, our users, or the public.

DMCA requests: If we receive a valid DMCA takedown notice regarding your app, we may share relevant account information with the complainant as part of the DMCA process.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Providing your own privacy policy within your app that complies with applicable laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and others).
  • Obtaining any necessary consent from your end users for data collection and processing.
