Swiftscores — App Privacy Documentation

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Swiftscores ("we", "us", "our"), a product of Ssu-Technology Limited, collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the Swiftscores website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). We have written it to be clear and honest. Our principle is simple: we collect only what we need to run a fast and reliable football service, and we are transparent about how it is used.

This policy applies to all Swiftscores web and app properties. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Who we are

Swiftscores is operated by Ssu-Technology Limited, 7 Bell Yard, Westminster, London, WC2A 2JR, United Kingdom, the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@swiftscores.app.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Usage and device data. The pages, matches and competitions you view, the links you click, the time and date of your visit, your device type, operating system, browser, language, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. This helps us run the Service, keep it secure and improve it.
  • Preferences. Your favourite teams and competitions and your in-app settings, stored so we can personalise your experience and remember your choices between visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Information collected through cookies, local storage and similar technologies, as described in the Cookies and advertising section below.
  • Push notification tokens. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver the match alerts you have asked for. You can turn these off at any time in your device or app settings.
  • Communications. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond and keep a record of the correspondence.

You do not need to create an account to use the core features of the Service.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide live scores, fixtures, results, tables and news, and keep them up to date;
  • remember your favourites, settings and preferences;
  • send the match alerts and notifications you opt in to;
  • operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service and develop new features;
  • measure performance and understand how the Service is used;
  • display and measure advertising; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal data.

Legal bases for processing

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service and in showing advertising that keeps it free; your consent, for example for non-essential cookies and push notifications, which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations where required.

Cookies and advertising

We and our partners use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, measure usage and deliver advertising. Swiftscores uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other websites and apps.

You can learn about and control personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, and through industry tools at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. These tools may set cookies and collect usage data, which we review in aggregated, non-identifying form wherever possible.

How we share information

We share information only in these limited circumstances: with service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, content delivery, analytics and advertising partners, who are permitted to use the data only to provide services to us; with advertising partners as described above; when required by law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request; to protect the rights, property or safety of Swiftscores, our users or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information and notify you of any change. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to keep our practices under review.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to correct inaccurate data; to request deletion; to restrict or object to certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@swiftscores.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Children

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here with a revised date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
